The newly developed FRUCTOSiN® is the first food supplement worldwide to assist the metabolization of fructose in the lower intestine.The only active ingredient of the product is the enzyme Xylose Isomerase (Xi), which works as a balancing agent between easily digestible glucose and excess amounts of fructose.

What is fructose?
Fructose is a monosaccharide naturally present in fruitsand vegetables as well as commercial sugar. Usually theconsumption of fructose is unproblematic. It is transportedfrom the small intestine through the intestinal mucosa to thecirculation system via transport protein GLUT 5. What food contains furctosin?
An increasing amount of fructose can not only be found in fruits and vegetables, but also in industrial produced food. Especially food containing more fructose than glucose should be avoided. Furthermore a lot of diabetic products contain sorbitol, which inhibits fructose absorption.
